While these platforms are essential for storing and managing data, the process of manually searching and retrieving specific information could be time-consuming, taking anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes per inquiry. Recognising the potential to improve efficiency, Crownpeak sought a solution to streamline this process, allowing their teams to focus more on strategic tasks.
The challenge was to not only accelerate document retrieval but also ensure that the information obtained was accurate and reliable. Implementing an AI-powered document retrieval system
To address these needs, Firemind developed and implemented a generative AI Proof-of-Concept (POC) specifically designed for Crownpeak. The solution utilised Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Kendra to create a sophisticated document retrieval system. Amazon Kendra’s intelligent search capabilities enabled rapid and accurate searches across extensive data sets, while Amazon Bedrock hosted the AI models necessary for generating advanced query responses.
This system allowed Crownpeak’s teams to upload documents and receive accurate, contextually relevant responses based on thoroughly indexed content, dramatically reducing the time needed to locate and extract information. With responses generated in just 3-10 seconds, the solution significantly improved efficiency. Additionally, the integration of a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) method ensured that all responses were grounded in the indexed documents, eliminating the risk of AI-generated inaccuracies. This approach not only met but exceeded the project’s success criteria by delivering reliable and precise information.
The successful deployment of this POC demonstrated its potential to enhance Crownpeak’s operational efficiency, providing a scalable foundation for future growth. This solution positioned Crownpeak to continue excelling in digital experience management with even greater agility and effectiveness.
