She’s eager to master AWS, deepen her knowledge of generative AI, and deliver solutions that meet client needs. Anvesha is particularly excited about translating business challenges into technical solutions and collaborating with her team.

As always, we spent a bit of time with Anvesha to run through our Q&A – to learn more about her aspirations working at Firemind.

Hello and welcome, Anvesha, to Firemind! For our viewers, could you share a bit about yourself and your professional journey?

Hey! I am originally from India, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and started my career at Accenture, working on data analysis for a pharmaceutical client. That experience sparked my interest in data science. I then pursued a master’s degree in Data Science from City, University of London, during which I had the opportunity to intern at R2 Factory, the analytics arm of Rolls-Royce. There, I worked on automating knowledge graph completion using transformers (which we now famously know as LLMs). Since then, I’ve worked at AITIS, an AI startup, where I handled everything from text and image data to sensor signals. Now, I’m excited to bring these experiences to Firemind!

How did you hear about Firemind, and what made you apply?

The Firemind team reached out to me on LinkedIn. The opportunity to work with AWS and dive deep into generative AI was a dream come true for me. It’s the perfect blend of learning and applying my skills in a fast-evolving field.

What’s your new role at Firemind?

I’m joining as a data scientist, working with Amazon Web Services to perform data analysis, visualisations, and machine learning. I’ll also use my experience with LLMs and prompt engineering to fine-tune models.

Which areas of our business excite you the most?

Definitely the gen AI solutions! I love being part of the innovation in this space.

What are your main objectives at Firemind?

My focus is on mastering AWS and expanding my knowledge of generative AI, while delivering high-value solutions to clients.

Which part of your role are you most excited about?

I love the mix of engineering and client interaction. Translating business needs into technical solutions and collaborating with my talented team sounds like a great challenge!

What do you hope to achieve in your first year?

I aim to learn as much as possible and deliver impactful solutions, all while building great connections with my team.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Exercise is my therapy – I’m a runner and sometimes hit the gym for strength training. I also love watching movies and TV series.

What’s your favourite song right now?

“Stargazing” by Myles Smith.

If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lentil curry and rice – simple and comforting!

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

Seeing the Northern Lights in Finland this year.

What’s one skill you’d love to learn?

I’d love to learn how to play Padel!
