Jason Mathew and Aditya Kukde Discuss Building a Data Driven Startup

On Thursday 28th April at 9am BST, we collaborated with the AWS Startup Academy to discuss how to build a data driven startup.

Introduction

As startups build and look to scale their business, it’s important to be able to make decisions based on available data. However, this is easier said than done.

In most startups, data can be all over the place. It can be scattered in siloed databases, stored in multiple Amazon S3 locations, or across a number of third-party SaaS applications. There needs to be a way to pull this data together. Transforming it and deriving valuable insights, preparing your business for the next fundraise, investor update or simply tracking your company financials in real-time.

AWS Startup Academy

The AWS Startup Academy is a program designed to help startups begin, scale and grow, hand in hand with AWS and their partners.

In their live webinar sessions, the programs focus on both business and technical topics, supporting those startups who are in initial or intermediate phases and are looking for ways to boost their business or cut costs.

The Agenda

In this live webinar session, you’ll learn some strategies for managing data and how you can start to develop a data strategy.

We look at what tools AWS provides to build serverless data analytics processes as well as derive insights from your data. We also go over how you can quickly gain insights yet still maintain flexibility as your business pivots and evolves.

As well as providing insights on the business value of data and typical customer challenges, we’ll be taking a closer look at Amazon Quicksight and the predictive benefits it’s provides in a live demo.
