2024 has arrived and with it, our continued journey to source some of the most talented humans to join our team! The first of which is none other than Louise Parker, who joins our Delivery department as an Engagement Manager.

Here’s what Louise had to say when we sat down with her for our Q & A session.

Hello and welcome to the Firemind team Louise! It’s great to have you with us. For our viewers, could you please tell us a little about yourself and your professional background?

For the last 10 years I have worked in a leading software vendor that focuses on call centre technology, There, I had a mixture of roles, from PMO, Project Manager to Customer Success Manager.

How did you find out about us and what made you decide to apply for a role with Firemind?

I’d heard about the role through a LinkedIn contact, and after talking to members of the team, Firemind really appealed to me as an exciting company with a great culture to work for.

What is your role at Firemind?

I’m the new Engagement Manager.

Which areas of our business interested you the most?

I have always been interested in technology, data and transformation, and I was excited to learn even more at Firemind.

What will be your main goals/objectives whilst working at Firemind?

My main goal will be learning and emerging myself in the team and growing relationships with our customers.

Which aspects of your role are you most excited about?

I am excited to work closely with my customers on their journey, while making sure we deliver on their expectations and nourish our relationships with them.

What do you hope to achieve within your first 12 months here?

Within my first 12 months it is important for me to integrate with the Firemind teams, working closely with my customers and delivering some great projects.

Outside of work, what do you get up to? Tell us about your hobbies.

Swimming, gym, attempting marathon training and cooking.

What’s your favourite song on your playlist right now?

Whiskey and You by Chris Stapleton.

Any fun nicknames we should know about?

None thankfully! 🤣

If you could only choose one dish to eat every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Does tea and biscuits count?

What is at the top of your bucket list?

Visiting Antarctica one day!

What is one skill you would really love to learn?

I would love to learn to play the piano!

How do you wind down after work?

Getting out for a run, cooking and watching a good series (maybe with a glass of wine).
