Nilay Mardikar

Nilay has spent his career making complex enterprise technology programmes actually deliver.

He has led cloud transformation engagements for large enterprise accounts across EMEA, the Nordics, the USA, and APAC. His experience spans the full arc: commercial origination and complex solution sales through to P&L ownership and large-scale delivery. He has built and led teams across local and global markets, worked deep in the manufacturing vertical, and driven revenue growth in some of the most demanding enterprise accounts in the Nordics. At Nordcloud, an IBM company, he rose to VP and Global Head of Move and Transform, heading one of the most operationally intensive practices in the cloud transformation business.

He sells it. He delivers it.

Today, Nilay is Sales Advisor for Autonomous Operations at Firemind, working with enterprise IT organisations on the shift from cloud transformation to autonomous operations. His writing draws on what he has seen work, and what has not, across years of large-scale enterprise IT: the decisions that accelerate programmes, the organisational realities that slow them down, and the operating model changes that make outcomes stick.

Managed strategic enterprise accounts across the Nordics, owning revenue growth, sales targets, customer satisfaction, and long-term account partnerships.

Tieto – Manager, ADM Manufacturing Vertical (Nordics) and Delivery Executive (November 2013 to September 2015)
Managed the application development and maintenance portfolio for the manufacturing vertical across the Nordics, followed by a delivery executive role on a major strategic customer account.
